Zimbabwe is in the grip of severe hunger, 3.6 million people have nothing to eat

The United Nations (UN) World Food Program (WFP) has said that Zimbabwe, which has been suffering from drought, floods, and economic crisis, is in the grip of severe starvation. According to WFP spokesman Hervé Verhusel, about 3.6 million people in Zimbabwe (African country ) will have nothing left to eat by October.

This number can reach 5.5 million in January next year. Financially troubled Zimbabwe is witnessing cyclone and drought. At present, the food is being supplied to seven lakh people by the organization. This target has been kept at 1.7 million between October and December.

The WFP has said that it is trying to help more people affected by starvation next year, but lack of funds is coming in this work. Global aid agencies are facing difficulties due to the closure of the dollar and other foreign currencies in Zimbabwe, which is in economic turmoil.
