Mountaniers found world highest lake in Nepal

The Kajin Sara lake, discovered in Nepal recently in Manang district, can hold the record for being the highest lake in the world. It is situated at an altitude of 5200 meters. Located at an altitude of 4919 meters in the Himalayan region, Tilicho Lake is currently the highest lake in the world.

According to local media, the Kajin Sara lake in Manang district was discovered a few months ago by a team of climbers. It will be ready for tourism by 2020.

Official confirmation to be made

Chame Rural Municipality President Lokendra Ghale said- According to the measurement, this lake is at an altitude of 5200 meters. However, it is yet to be officially confirmed. It is about 1500 meters long and 600 meters wide.

It takes 18 hours to reach here

It will become the tallest lake in the world when it is officially confirmed to be situated at an altitude of more than 5000 meters. It is formed from the melted snow of the Himalayas. It can be reached after an 18-hour climb.
