Israel Air Strikes on arms depot used by Iran-backed paramilitary forces in Iraq

After Syria, Israel now bombed on arms depot used by Iran-backed paramilitary forces in Iraq. Last month, Israel targeted an arms depot in northern Baghdad, according to a US newspaper New York Times report. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently indicated that Israel had carried out airstrikes on an Iran-backed base in Iraq.
US officials have confirmed an Israeli airstrike at an arms depot in Iraq. A senior intelligence official said that Israel has targeted an airstrike at an arms depot of the paramilitary force Hashid al-Shaabi, north of the capital Baghdad.
It has not been known how much damage was done to the property in the attack. The New York Times quoted two US officials as saying that Israel has carried out several airstrikes in Iraq in recent times.
Hashid al-Shaabi's deputy commander Abu Mehdi Al Muhandis has directly blamed the US for these attacks. The Muhandis is considered to be staunch opponents of America. Hashid al-Shaabi Chief Fallah al-Fayed said the investigation into the case was ongoing.
