The strike on Monday in Hong Kong, the main economic center of the World, caused life to be completely stopped. The transport system was affected the most by the strike. More than 200 flights were canceled. During this time, police again fired tear gas shells to chase thousands of protesters who took to the streets. Thousands of demonstrators were gathered in many places in the city. He also had a clash with the police.

China-backed Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam warned the protesters that they were pushing the city into "very dangerous conditions" and challenging China's sovereignty. He reiterated the demand for resignation and said that his government is determined to maintain law and order. While protesters, talking of continuing the movement, accused Lam that he was disturbing the situation by ignoring the sentiments of the people.

The UK hand over Hong Kong to China in 1997

There is a protest against the proposed extradition law in Hong Kong since June. This disputed law provides for extraditing the accused to China for trial. This is said to be the biggest protest in China-controlled Hong Kong since 1997. Britain had handed Hong Kong to China with this condition in 1997 that it will maintain its autonomy.

More than four hundred people arrested so far

The round of protests continued in Hong Kong from June 9. Since then more than four hundred people have been arrested. Around one thousand rounds of tear gas shells have been fired to chase the protesters.

90 lakh reward for throwing the Chinese flag in a sea

Former Hong Kong leader CY Leung has announced a reward of one million Hong Kong dollars (about 90 million rupees) to the informer about the person who threw the Chinese flag into the sea. During the demonstration on Saturday, someone removed the Chinese flag on Victoria Harbor and threw it into the sea.
