Infected mosquitoes are left in a given area to breed with female mosquitoes and the goal is to gradually reduce mosquito population so that it can not give birth to their new generation. How successful was this experiment? At the moment, after the completion of the six-month course, Debug left more than 15 million infected mosquitoes in California's Fresno. This reduced the population of two-thirds of female mosquito bites. This project has been successful in reducing the total mosquito population to 95%.
